The Wildland Fire Leadership Council recently approved new guidance for implementing the Federal Fire Management Policy and AMR. Now, both protection and restoration objectives may be combined to manage the same wildfire incident – fire suppression and fire use strategies and tactics can be used simultaneously. No more "good fire vs. bad fire" dichotomy, but instead, fire is fire!  Check out the new WFLC policy decision in our AMR section, and let us know what you think will be the effects of the new AMR policy this wildfire season in our weblog, "Scout the Line!"
